The use of sugarcane waste

With its eco-friendly range, Mintra has found an excellent substitute for paper products made from trees… Bagasse!

So what is La Bagasse? Let’s start with the easiest one. It’s pronounced /bə-gas/.

What is it? Bagasse is a plant fiber. More specifically, it is the dry pulpy fibrous residue left over after sugarcane production. In a word, it is biowaste. And that means trees are saved. Remember, using green products made from bagasse means more trees for all of us to enjoy!

We all know that the recommended daily intake is 8 glasses of water, and that it is essential for our health, but what we use to drink it is just as important. We are all guilty of drinking plastic bottled water. Did you know that it takes at least 1000 years for a plastic bottle to decompose? Yes, that is pretty bad.
